Valdeón 讲座时间：11月3日 （星期六）下午2:00—4:00 讲座地点：文学院 前主楼C区5层 5045房间 讲座内容提要： In this talk I will discuss some of the topics that have gained momentum over the past decade, starting with the concept of interdisciplinarity. From here, I will move on to introduce popular subareas of research such as translation history, pragmatics and translation, journalistic translation and the ethics of translation. I will draw on my experience as editor-in-chief of Perspectives：Translation Theory and Practice (A&HCI) and general editor of the Benjamins Translation Library. The audience will be encouraged to participate during the whole session. 主讲人简介： Roberto A. Valdeón is Full Professor in English Studies at the University of Oviedo, Spain, and a member of the Academia Europaea. He is the author of over a hundred publications, including contributions to journals such as Across Languages and Cultures, Meta, Intercultural Pragmatics, Terminology, The Translator, Target, Babel, International Journal of Applied Linguistics, Philological Quarterly, Journalism and Translating and Interpreting Studies. He is Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice and General Editor of the Benjamins Translation Library.
