Guo Changbao, Doctor of Literature, Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, Dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, Beijing Normal University.

He is also the Director of Cross-strait Traditional Culture Research Center of Beijing Normal University, chief-editor of New Asia Journal (Hong Kong), chief-editor of Chinese Literature Today (U.S.), Visiting Professor of Hong Kong Institute of Education, Visiting Professor of Korea University, Visiting Professor of Taiwan Soochow University, Visiting Professor of SIM University of Singapore, and Chief Expert of the Major Research Project of National Social Science Planning.

His teaching and research focus on Chinese ancient culture, literature and philology. He has published more than 10 monographs, including Chuci and Primitive Religion, The Primitive Culture and Philology Studies, and “The Formulation of Ritual and the Composition of Music” and the Making of Western Zhou Texts. He has published more than 100 academic papers.
